We may have finally reached peak campaign immaturity with arguably the most insane Twitter trend of this entire campaign: #TrumpLovesPecker.

Just take a moment to process that.

You good? Great.

For background, after the National Enquirer ran a piece alleging Ted Cruz had five affairs, a lot of people pointed to how Trump has had a very close, friendly relationship with the man who runs the tabloid.

That man’s name? David Pecker.
