Trey Radel, Congressman Arrested for Cocaine, to Resign House Seat
According to POLITICO, Representative Trey Radel (R-FL) will resign his seat his Congress on Monday.
Radel was arrested in 2013 after buying cocaine from an undercover federal agent in Washington, D.C. When the arrest was made public, Radel took a leave of absence and entered drug treatment.
POLITICO’s Jake Sherman reported Monday that Radel plans on handing in a letter of resignation to House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) later in the day.
