Trump Ominously Responds to McCain’s Speech: ‘I Fight Back and It Won’t Be Pretty’
As President Donald Trump gave a series of conservative radio interviews on Tuesday, he warned John McCain that the senator shouldn’t trifle with him like he did with in his Monday night speech.
Trump spoke to WMAL’s Chris Plante for a broad range discussion that touched on everything from foreign policy to the president’s dislike for the “fake news” media. As the conversation continued, Plante noted that McCain seemed to take shots at Trump yesterday when the senator spoke against “half-baked, spurious nationalism” as he received the Liberty Medal.
“I hear everything. People have to be careful because at some point I fight back,” Trump responded. “I’m being very nice. I’m being very, very nice. But at some point I fight back and it won’t be pretty.”
CNN’s Dan Merica asked McCain what he thought about this, and he received this response:
