Trump Promotes NY Post Column That Says Russian Indictments ‘Deal Don a Big Win’

Minutes after sending out a short tweet about his brief visit with Florida shooting victims, President Donald Trump promoted a New York Post article that claimed that the recent indictments of Russian nationals for interfering in the 2016 election “prove Trump won fair and square.
“Charges Deal Don A Big Win,” written by Michael Goodwin of the @nypost, succinctly states that “the Russians had no impact on the election results.” There was no Collusion with the Trump Campaign. “She lost the old-fashioned way, by being a terrible candidate. Case closed.”

As you can see in the tweet above, the president quoted parts of the column that align with that what he’s been saying for a while — that any meddling had no effect on the election results and Hillary Clinton lost because she was a bad candidate. The president also added a little extra commentary — “There was no Collusion with the Trump Campaign.”
He added the following tweet a few minutes later:
Deputy A.G. Rod Rosenstein stated at the News Conference: “There is no allegation in the indictment that any American was a knowing participant in this illegal activity. There is no allegation in the indictment that the charged conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election.

This isn’t the first time Trump has pushed a Goodwin article that offered up a pro-Trump take. During one of his times promoting Goodwin’s work, Trump tweeted out Goodwin’s email address to his 45+ million followers. That tweet was eventually deleted.
