Trump Scorches ‘Fake News’ Media, ‘Very, Very Boring’ WH Correspondents Dinner
President Donald Trump began his rally tonight in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania by ripping and mocking the media for continuing the White House Correspondents Dinner despite his absence.
Trump told the crowd he “could not possibly more thrilled” to be away from the “Washington swamp” while celebrities and media personalities were “consoling each other in a hotel ballroom.” Trump eventually addressed the media directly, pointing at the cameras and saying “they would actually rather be here” than in Washington.
After Trump let the audience ride with chants of “CNN sucks,” he went along and bashed the network and MSNBC as “fake news” yet again.
“They would love to be with us here tonight,” Trump said, “but they’re trapped at the dinner which will be very, very boring.”
Trump went on to bash the media throughout the rest of rally, hitting Hillary Clinton, the New York Times, and all of his other usual targets. Trump also defended the progress of his first 100 days in office, all while continuing to blast the press for ignoring or misrepresenting his accomplishments
