Trump’s Team Fixes Website to Announce That Muslim Ban is Still on Track

After a slight hiccup, Trump’s ban on all Muslims entering the country is still on schedule.

Trump’s campaign website had a page printing his statement, first made in Dec. 2015, calling for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”

The page temporarily rerouted traffic elsewhere after the election, the Washington Post reported. But following a reporter’s inquiry it was restored Thursday to display the original statement.

During the campaign Trump amended his proposal to a ban on people coming from countries affected by terrorism and later to a more nebulous policy of “extreme vetting.”

Vice President-Elect Mike Pence last December said that the Muslim ban was “offensive and unconstitutional.”
