WaPo on Trump’s Media Slams: Our Sources Confirmed the Story that Led to Flynn’s Resignation

The Washington Post offered a rebuttal to President Trump‘s latest jabs at the media, pointing out that their sources were correct in regards to the report that caused Michael Flynn to resign this month.
Trump used his Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) speech today to go on a blistering tirade against the “fake news” media, and he particularly complained about reporters who cite unnamed sources while covering his administration. In one particular instance, Trump seemed to reference the Washington Post when he said “there were no nine people” who anonymously told reporters about the details of his presidency.
This was how Washington Post responded to that moment:

Earlier this month, WaPo ran a story with nine sources who informed them that Flynn was talking about U.S. sanctions with Russian ambassadors about a month before Trump officially took office. Though Trump defended Flynn since the story launched, the former general resigned as National Security Adviser for misleading Vice President Mike Pence about the nature of his communications.
Since Flynn’s resignation, Trump has made it a point of his condemn leakers within the administration, as well as the media for reporting on what they tell them.
