Washington Post Typo ‘Gahhaha’ Outrages Conservative Bloggers

A typo that appeared in a Washington Post political correspondent’s story on Republican governors has some conservatives yelling “liberal bias!” The typo caused a brief storm on Twitter over the weekend when screen caps of it made the rounds.

Dan Balz‘s piece is consists of a review of the Republican Party’s 2012 autopsy and how governors could be the future of the party. Republicans hold 30 of the 50 governor’s mansions in the country, providing them with a deep bench of potential presidential candidates and Senators down the road.

In the 16th paragraph of Balz’s now corrected piece there was a line that consisted of simply the word/phrase “gahhaha.” It comes immediately after a paragraph about the presidential chances of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.

No word on whether this was simply the screw up of a copy editor, a prank, or something else.
