WATCH LIVE: Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor Boxing Press Conference in Los Angeles
Two of the biggest personalities in all of sports set out on a four-day press tour beginning Tuesday in Los Angeles. The events figure to be a circus, probably more entertaining than the actual fight.
Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will meet the media in L.A. Tuesday to promote their Aug. 26 bout in Las Vegas, in a press event that almost surely figures to be a circus given the amount of trash talk the fighters have engaged in with each other.
For months, Mayweather and McGregor traded barbs, as McGregor tried to lure Mayweather out of retirement and into the ring for what will, most assuredly, be the payday of a lifetime for McGregor. Mayweather will be coming off of a nearly two year-long layoff when he steps into the ring on Aug 26.
Still, the 40-year-old Mayweather has 49 professional boxing matches under his belt. He has won them all. Conor McGregor, prolific though he may be in the UFC’s octagon, will be fighting as a professional boxer for the very first time on Aug. 26.
The two released training videos recently, in which the speed disparity between the two appears to be striking, to say the least. McGregor would seem to have his hands full in the ring.
But in front of the microphone? He figures to have a better change.
