This punter showed a nice turn of foot before pulling up lame in the last at Hobart on Sunday… ? pic.twitter.com/Oe7OOrPsXx

And DOWN the stretch they — ouch!
That sentence summarizes, roughly, the plight of a man who tried to keep up with a group of horses during a race in Australia this past Sunday. He, of course, failed spectacularly.
The man gave himself a pretty solid head start and sprinted with his head down as the field hit the top of the stretch. It didn’t matter, obviously. The horses quickly caught up to — and then ultimately blew past — the overmatched human.
Already beaten, the man added injury to insult when he abruptly pulled up and appeared to grab his right hamstring.
The whole thing is amusing to watch. Check it out above, via Sky Racing Australia.
