WATCH: Vicious Brawl in Stands at ACC Title Game Leaves Fan Bloodied (Graphic)
The college football regular season came to a close this past Saturday (save for the annual Army-Navy showdown). And the ACC Championship Game just might have delivered the most violent fan brawl in a season full of them.
The melee took place in the upper deck of Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium during the first quarter of Clemson’s dominant victory over Miami. The video above (via WCNC TV — Charlotte’s NBC affiliate) lasts for nearly three minutes, but most of the action takes place in the first few seconds. In the clip, you can see several fans throwing haymakers in a wild scuffle that spanned several rows.
But the most violent part undoubtedly comes at the six second mark. One fan grabs another fan, lifts him up, and bodyslams him against a row of seats below. The bodyslammed fan — whose face was a bloody mess — continues to throw half-hearted punches. And the man who did the bodyslamming launched himself back into the fray with a wicked right hand shot, before another fan separated the two.
“Yeah, motherf*ucker,” the bodyslammer said, while being held back by another person. “I’ll f*ckin’ kill you.”
Over the course of the two minute 40 second video, no stadium security personnel are visible — despite the fact that two full rows appeared to clear out as a result of the fracas.
According to WCNC, one person was arrested for assault in connection with the brawl.
