‘We Won’t Let Hate Win’: Ariana Grande Posts Emotional Statement Over Manchester Bombing

Ariana Grande released a heartfelt statement to her Twitter followers on Friday, and promised that she would return to the city where her fans came under attack at the end of her concert this week.

Grande’s Monday concert in Manchester, UK was attacked by a terrorist who killed over 20 people while leaving scores more seriously injured. Grande has not publicly said much since Monday, though she tweeted that she felt “broken” by the attack and there were reports that she would cancel or suspend her “Dangerous Woman” tour.

On Friday, Grande offered her sympathies to Manchester while praising the city for its “compassion, kindness, love, strength, and oneness” throughout the tragedy. Grande also said that she wants to keep using her music as a force for healing and unity, and she declared “we will not let hate win.”

Grande also said that she would come back to Manchester and do a benefit concert in honor of her fans there and tweeted out a link to an online fundraiser for the victims.
