What is Playboy Like Without Nude Pictures? Let’s Find Out

PicMonkey Collage - PlayboyRemember how Playboy announced back in October that they would be axing their photos of naked women for being too “passé?” Well, if you were curious as to what the magazine would be like now, a preview of their first nude-free issue was released today.

The issue’s theme was based in social media, which fittingly enough cast Sarah McDaniel of Instagram fame as their cover model. The Daily Mail opined that the pictures made in a style to resemble Snapchat was made as a potential pitch to millenials, though it still leaves questions as to whether the magazine will retain readership with its older and more… pornographically-oriented clientele.

“The idea was to look at me from a boyfriend’s perspective,” McDaniel said in Playboy‘s announcement. The magazine released a video in which McDaniel took a collection of Snapchat videos to prove that she could strut her stuff as a master of the app.

While the publication didn’t have any nudes, they still featured women in bikinis and lingerie, plenty of skin, and women posing in alluring positions. Dree Hemingway, great-granddaughter of author Ernest Hemingway, also also appeared as Playboy’s first non-nude centerfold, wearing a an open white button down and panties.

The March 2016 issue will be released in print on February 12th.
