Will Ferrell Released From Hospital After Serious Car Accident (UPDATE)

Comedian Will Ferrell was rushed to the hospital on Thursday night after a devastating car accident in Orange County, CA.
TMZ reports that at around 11 p.m., Ferrell and two companions were sideswiped on the highway while they rode in their chauffeur-driven SUV. Ferrell was said to be on his way back home after reprising his Ron Burgundy character for a Funny or Die event.
It’s unclear how badly the three passengers were injured — but even though Ferrell was speaking on his cell phone while he was loaded into an ambulence, witnesses said he was seriously bleeding at the scene.
UPDATE 1:37 p.m. ET — According to KABC in Los Angeles, Ferrell has been released from the hospital.
