Woman Hit by Broken Bat at Fenway Park, Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries
A female fan at Fenway Park suffered life-threatening injuries after a broken bat hit her in the head during a Red Sox-Athletics game.
Athletics player Brett Lawrie broke his bat and the bat ended up hitting a woman watching the game from the second row of the stands. She was reportedly sitting with her family and was bleeding from the head.
One witness said, “t was a blunt trauma and it was a lot of blood. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that much blood.”
She was immediately carried off on a stretcher and brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
