Your Moment Of Glenn: “Get Off Your Ass And Bake Some Pie!”

Glenn Beck was all about American Pie (the good old America kind, not the movie kind). Literally and metaphorically. I know I’ve speculated many times that Beck may be the next Oprah but tonight he appeared to be gunning for Martha Stewart land. In an effort to explain U.S. foreign aid, personal financial responsibility, and charity, Glenn Beck put on an apron and cut up a lot of pies. I happen to be a big fan of Beck’s habit of using visual aids and Baker Beck was in top form tonight.

You can watch the full tour de pie force below — including Beck’s lament that the whipped cream was fake — but essentially what it boils to is good old American Pie values, namely it’s everyone’s (including Africa…though we can maybe give them the recipe?) responsibility to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and make their own pie and quit expecting other people (i.e. the goverment) to bake your pie for you!
