‘MIA’ Biden Slammed By Critics for Calling Lid Before Noon Following Attack on Israel: ‘A Disgusting Disgrace’

President Joe Biden was slammed by critics for calling a lid and notifying the press that he would be neither seen nor heard from for the rest of the day before noon on Monday, the first weekday following this weekend’s devastating attack on Israel.

“Hi everyone — The White House has called a lid for the day, before the pool call time. We will not be seeing the president today,” wrote USA Today White House correspondent Francesca Chambers in an email to her colleagues at 11:52 am on Monday.

The only event on the president’s schedule for the day was his receipt of the presidential daily briefing, which was penciled in for 10 a.m.

A number of observers, many of them frequent critics of Biden, were shocked by the decision to end the day before noon even as the international crisis in Israel unfolds.

Townhall’s John Hasson echoed Benson, remarking that “Biden threw a private BBQ party yesterday, and just called a lid before noon today. All while Americans are being held hostage in Gaza.”

Fox’s Martha MacCallum was excoriating the administration for its release of $6 billion to Iran in exchange for hostages last month, suggesting that it incentivized Hamas to take more American hostages when she reported the news that Biden would not appear publicly live on air.

“The White House has called a lid at 11:46 am, so we do not expect to hear from or see President Biden for the rest of the day,” announced MacCallum.

There will also be no briefing from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre or National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby on Monday.
