Dem Group Rebukes Rashida Tlaib in a Brutal New Ad: ‘She’s On the Wrong Side of History and Humanity’

Democratic Majority for Israel, a nonprofit that works to “maintain and strengthen support of Israel among grassroots progressives and Democratic leaders,” has released a brutal new ad rebuking Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) for her hostility toward the world’s only Jewish-majority state.
The ad castigates Tlaib for voting against funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, which protects its civilian population from persistent rocket attacks from terrorist groups in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, as well as for her position on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
“She’s one of only 7 Democrats in Congress to vote against missile protection for Israel,” began the ad’s narrator. She continued:
One of only 9 Democrats against condemning the brutal attack on Israel by Hamas. Her legislation would allow the terrorists to re-arm themselves. And she refuses to answer even this horrific question: ‘You can’t comment about Hamas terrorists chopping off babies heads?’ Tell Rashida Tlaib she’s on the wrong side of history and humanity.
Tlaib has long been among the most militantly anti-Israel voices in Congress, but her behavior since the October 7 terrorist attack has drawn even more criticism than usual.
The congresswoman reacted to the initial attack by professing only to “grieve the Palestinian and Israeli lives lost yesterday, today, and every day” without offering any condemnation of Hamas. She went on to condemn the victimized nation by declaring that “the path to that future must include lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.”
Tlaib also blamed Israel for an explosion at a Gazan hospital that U.S. intelligence determined was likely caused by a failed rocket launch by Islamic terrorists in Gaza, even doubling down on the theory that Israel was responsible for the attack after it had been rejected by reputable sources.
