Jamaal Bowman Unloads on ‘Racist’ AIPAC: ‘Their Donors Are MAGA’

Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) pulled no punches when discussing the effort by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee to oust him from Congress.

Bowman is facing a primary challenge from Westchester County Executive George Latimer, who has been endorsed by AIPAC, which has spent nearly $2 million trying to defeat the two-term congressman.

The lawmaker has been one of Israel’s most notable critics in Congress amid the country’s war in Gaza after the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks. On Wednesday’s CNN NewsNight, Bowman criticized AIPAC.

“I wanna ask you about your reelection bid where this issue is a huge one,” host Abby Phillip said. “You are being targeted by AIPAC, a pro-Israel group. They’ve said that they are gonna spend millions in your district. Do you think that you’re getting the support that you want from the Democratic Party in this race?”

“Yes,” he replied. “And we’re gonna get a lot more support going forward. You know, AIPAC, unfortunately, has shown itself to be a racist organization, an organization that’s supporting a genocide in Gaza right now. And my opponent has partnered with them even though the majority of their donors are MAGA racist Republicans trying to take our voting rights, trying to take reproductive rights, gutting affirmative action, and supporting fascism.”

Ahead of the 2022 midterm elections, AIPAC endorsed more than 100 Republican members of Congress who voted against certifying President Joe Biden’s election victory.
