John Fetterman Taunts Protesters With Israel Flag While They’re Being Arrested At ‘Ceasefire’ Demonstration in D.C.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) continued to needle his fellow progressives on Thursday by waving an Israeli flag at protesters who were being arrested a “ceasefire” demonstration at the Capitol.
Fetterman had been outspoken in his support for Israel and its military operations in the Gaza Strip since Hamas’ brutal October 7 attack on civilians in southern Israel. Protesters, several of whom appeared to be under arrest, booed and shouted “shame” at the junior senator as he left the Capitol complex on Thursday. Others accused him of abetting a “genocide” while another called him a “joke.”
Fetterman appeared amused by the derision as he waved a small Israeli flag in their direction.

It wasn’t the first time Fetterman has either rebuked or mocked anti-Israel demonstrators.
On Sunday, a heckler told Fetterman that he had “blood” on his hands.
“The joke is on you. I had a stroke, I can’t fully understand what you’re saying,” replied the senator.
Fetterman has said that he grieves “for all innocent Palestinian lives lost” and argued that the U.S. should work to “minimize suffering in Gaza,” but he’s also rejected calls for a ceasefire and expressed frustration with his fellow Democrats for rushing to blame Israel for an explosion at a Gaza hospital last month.
Now is not the time to talk about a ceasefire. We must support Israel in efforts to eliminate the Hamas terrorists who slaughtered innocent men, women, and children.
Hamas does not want peace, they want to destroy Israel. We can talk about a ceasefire after Hamas is neutralized.

“Now is not the time to talk about a ceasefire,” insisted Fetterman in October. “We must support Israel in efforts to eliminate the Hamas terrorists who slaughtered innocent men, women, and children. Hamas does not want peace, they want to destroy Israel. We can talk about a ceasefire after Hamas is neutralized.”
Fetterman has also championed the cause of those taken hostage by Hamas, displaying missing persons posters of each of the Israelis presently being held captive in his office.
