‘Kinda Dumb TBH’: Gaetz and Other MAGA Figures Irked By Hunter Biden Guilty Verdict

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) was less than impressed on Tuesday after Hunter Biden was found guilty on three gun-related charges in federal court.

Gaetz, who faced his own federal investigation related to sex trafficking allegations, reacted to the politically charged guilty verdict by saying, “The Hunter Biden gun conviction is kinda dumb tbh.”

Hunter Biden was found guilty on three charges, including making a false statement material to a firearm sale, making a false statement in a firearms transaction record, and being in possession of a firearm as a drug user. The convictions carry significant potential jail time, including a maximum sentence of ten years for the first and third charges and up to five years for the second charge.

Other figures on the MAGA right posted similar sentiments following Hunter’s conviction. Charlie Kirk wrote on X, “Hunter Biden guilty. Yawn. The true crimes of the Biden Crime Family remain untouched. This is a fake trial trying to make the Justice system appear “balanced.” Don’t fall for it.”

Controversial ex-Trump policy advisor Stephen Miller added, “DOJ is running election interference for Joe Biden— that’s why DOJ did NOT charge Hunter with being an unregistered foreign agent (FARA) or any crime connected with foreign corruption. Why? Because all the evidence would lead back to JOE. DOJ is Joe’s election protection racket.”
