WATCH: Marco Rubio Senate Hearing Interrupted Multiple Times By Protestors

Marco Rubio’s Senate confirmation hearing on Wednesday was briefly interrupted by protesters, with the Florida senator touting he gets “bilingual protesters” after one woman screamed in Spanish.

One protester screamed about “forever wars” and called Rubio, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense, “little Marco!”

Rubio was discussing post-World War II and the United States creating an “order” when the protester yelled, “And we’ve had forever wars ever since! Little Marco, keep your hands —” The man and others were then removed from the room, while the original protester continued to scream.

“”It will be impossible without a strong and a confident America that engages in the world, putting our core national interests, once again, above all else,” Rubio had said about the United States needing a renewed leadership role in the world.

Rubio was again interrupted by a demonstrator speaking in Spanish. The woman accused Rubio of killing children in Nicaragua and elsewhere.

“I get bilingual protesters!” Rubio cracked after the woman had been removed from the room.

Another protester could be seen being pulled from the room as she yelled, “Education is a human right!”

In his opening remarks, Rubio called it “surreal” to be facing a committee of senators when he’s used to being on the committee asking the questions. Rubio was in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

“It’s a bit surreal to be on this side of the room, but you all look very distinguished,” he said. “I just want you to know that.”

Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, Pam Bondi, also faced a Senate hearing on Wednesday following Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth’s sometimes tense hearing the day prior.
