MSNBC Guest Derisively Refers to Mike Pence as ‘Jesus Whisperer’

During a conversation about President Donald Trump’s speech and proposed deal on Saturday, MSNBC guest, Managing Editor and co-founder of The Beat Tiffany Cross, derisively referred to Vice President Mike Pence as a “Jesus whisperer.”

She also called Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner the “secretary of all the things.”

“Tiffany, let me ask you this,” host Rev. Al Sharpton said to Cross. “You are one that does a lot of collection of data at The Beat D.C. When he gives this statistic that 90% of heroin comes across the southern border, that all this crime will go up, a kind of boogie man scare of Americans that I think is a stunt…Is anything in your research that in any way, shape, or form confirms the stuff that he portrayed?”

Cross pointed out that really, the president wasn’t the one behind scenes drawing up the deal. That was Kushner and Pence.

” Rev, let me first say that this deal was put together by Secretary of all the things Jared Kushner, and by the Jesus whisperer, Vice President Mike Pence,” she said. “This is not a deal any Democrat was consulted on or had the opportunity to touch. This president has tried to connect the drug war with the immigration crisis and he failed. I want to remind the people that this is not a president who cares about the opioid crisis.”

On Saturday, Trump announced a proposed deal that offered extended temporary protected status for DACA in exchange for $5.7 billion for his wall.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called the deal a non-starter.
