Ramaswamy Hits Back At Donna Brazile For ‘Intentionally’ Mispronouncing His Name And Saying He Should ‘Go Home’
Vivek Ramaswamy hit back at former DNC chair Donna Brazile on Sunday after she mispronounced his name several times during the most recent episode of Real Time with Bill Maher and said the Republican candidate needs to “just shut the hell up and go home.”
Both Brazile and former Republican Adam Kinzinger mispronounced Vivek while discussing the Republican field with host Bill Maher, who called them on it and told them the correct pronunciation. That correction prompted the ABC News contributor to reply “whatever.”
When Maher challenged Brazile’s “whatever,” she responded by then mangling the candidate’s last name as well. Eventually Maher pointed out that “there’s something wrong with everybody refusing to learn to say his name.”
“I just feel there’s a little racism there,” said Maher, to which Brazile replied, “no racism.”
Ramaswamy responded on Sunday in a message on X (formerly Twitter), sent as a quote of another tweet with a clip embedded.
“I wonder what they’d do if a white Republican intentionally mispronounced Donna’s name & then told her to return ‘home,'” Ramaswamy wrote.

In the Real Time segment, Maher admonished his guests, saying “I know we don’t like him but, you know, just say his name right.”
