Steve Bannon’s CFO Urges MAGA to Drop Vivek Ramaswamy

Grace Chong, the CFO and COO of Steve Bannon’s influential MAGA-world podcast War Room, blasted Vivek Ramaswamy on Tuesday and urged her fellow hard-right media influencers to stop platforming the 2024 GOP candidate.

“Any MAGA talking head/pundit/influencer giving @VivekGRamaswamy a platform at this point is a part of the problem,” Chong posted on Twitter/X Tuesday.

Bannon and Chong are long supporters of former President Donald Trump and have trained their fire on his 2024 GOP primary opponents in recent months – primarily Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). Chong has slammed Ramaswamy in the past, reposting jabs from Bannon’s Gettr account onto Twitter. “Ramaswamy did not vote for President Trump in 2016,” read one post from August. “Ramaswamy Hard-Wired to Soros,” read another.

Bannon, a former Trump campaign manager and White House adviser, has long been linked with the far-right in the U.S. and fashions himself as a leader of the MAGA movement working to reelect Trump and gut the U.S. government.

Chong’s call for MAGA to deplatform Ramaswamy comes as the Associated Press also published a devastating article on his 2024 candidacy. “Vivek Ramaswamy struggles to gain traction with Iowa Republicans as critics question his path ahead,” read the AP which reported on Ramaswamy’s difficulty in moving the needle in the first voting contest of 2024.

“He is polling in the mid to high single digits and has left critics asking what his endgame is or if he is staying in the race only to boost former President Donald Trump,” noted the piece.
