Trump Boasts About New Redistricting Plan To Help Republicans: ‘THANK YOU MISSOURI’

President Donald Trump boasted Friday on Truth Social over Governor Mike Kehoe’s (R-MO) announcement that the state will use a special session to draw up new congressional maps, writing, “THANK YOU MISSOURI.”

Kehoe announced the plan on Friday, which targets the Kansas City-area 5th congressional district held by Representative Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO).  As of now, Missouri’s congressional delegation is composed of six Republicans and two Democrats, but the proposed maps aim to win the GOP an additional seat in 2026.

GREAT Governor Mike Kehoe, of the Wonderful State of Missouri, which I love and won SIX times, including with 1.8 Million Votes in 2024 (by far the most Votes in History!), just called a very Special Session to begin passage of a new, much fairer, and much improved, Congressional Map, that will give the incredible people of Missouri the tremendous opportunity to elect an additional MAGA Republican in the 2026 Midterm Elections — A HUGE VICTORY for our America First Agenda, not just in the “Show-Me State,” but across our Nation.

Just today, Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) signed new congressional maps favoring Republicans into law in Texas in a move that is expected to help the GOP win up to five more seats in Congress during the midterms.
