President Donald Trump authored an odd moment on Tuesday when he asked Governor Ron DeSantis about what it would be like to date Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Trump was in the Florida Everglades visiting a prison for immigrants that conservatives in the state call “Alligator Alcatraz.” The president was flanked by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and DeSantis, who on Monday touted the facility’s remote location as ideal for imprisoning undocumented immigrants before they are deported.

“What’ll happen is you’ll bring people in there, they ain’t going anywhere once they’re there unless you want them to go somewhere, because, good luck getting to civilization,” he said of the jail, which is next to an airstrip.

During his visit, Trump encountered Brian Glenn, who is the chief White House correspondent for Real America’s Voice. Glenn is also dating Greene, which Trump proceeded to crack about.

“Hi Brian,” Trump said before turning to DeSantis. “Ron, this is the boyfriend – very lucky – of Marjorie Taylor Greene.”

After some pleasantries, Trump asked DeSantis, “Do you think it’s easy being with Marjorie?”

The governor laughed nervously and the three government officials kept moving.

Glenn posted a video of the interaction on his X account.

Regarding Trump’s inquiry, Glenn wrote, “I’m not going to answer that,” before adding that he was joking.

Glenn has endeared himself to Trump by asking the president softball questions and attacking Trump’s political enemies. In May, he fantasized about arresting Trump’s nemeses. In February, he piled on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a tense Oval Office meeting where Trump and Vice President JD Vance berated the besieged leader amid Russia’s ongoing war in the country.

“Do you own a suit?” Glenn asked.
