Trump Confesses to Doodling Buildings, But Not Nudes for Epstein: ‘I Don’t Do Drawings of Women’
President Donald Trump confessed to the occasional doodle of a building, but insisted he has never drawn a nude woman when asked about a birthday card he reportedly sent to the late sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein.
At a press conference alongside U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday during a visit to Trump’s golf course in Turnberry, Scotland, a reporter asked about the card, which was reported on by The Wall Street Journal and reportedly featured a mysterious note and drawing of a nude woman.
When the Journal first reported on the note, Trump and his allies insisted he has never drawn — a claim contradicted by years of publicly available illustrations by the president.
“I don’t do drawings. I’m not a drawing person. I don’t do drawings,” Trump said on Monday. “Sometimes people would say, ‘Would you draw a building?’ and I’ll draw four lines and a little roof, you know, for a charity. But I’m not a drawing person. I don’t do drawings of women — that I can tell you. They say there’s a drawing of a woman, and I don’t do drawings of women.”
Trump went on to defend his years-long relationship with Epstein.
“Epstein was always a very controversial guy,” Trump said. “I was at a very high position—pretty much all my life, in all fairness. I’ve been doing this for a long time: the top show on television, number one bestsellers. I had everything, right? I was a very successful business guy. He was very controversial. Who would do a controversial drawing?”
Trump also noted that other prominent figures wrote birthday cards for Epstein.
“They say there were many letters done by many people — and many big people, big successful people,” Trump added.
He concluded by claiming that the Epstein controversy has boosted his support among Americans, a claim that is hardly supported by available polling.
