Former President Donald Trump’s Bedminster National Golf Club was the epicenter of Friday’s New Jersey 4.8 magnitude earthquake that shook the tristate area.

The New York tri-state area experienced the biggest earthquake since 1884 with the shaking of homes and commercial buildings. The epicenter of the earthquake, which started at 10:23 am, was only miles away from Trump’s New Jersey golf course.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake hit the state on Friday morning near Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, less than seven miles from Trump’s golf club.

It has not been reported if the property received any significant damage from the earthquake.

The earthquake was reportedly felt by more than 42 million Americans from Philadelphia to New York, with some people even feeling the shocks in Maryland and Massachusetts, according to Newsweek.

Per the USGS:

While this earthquake is relatively small globally, earthquakes of this magnitude are commonly widely felt in the eastern United States because of efficient seismic wave propagation in the region. Earthquakes in the eastern US are infrequent but not unexpected. Since 1950, 40 other earthquakes of magnitude 3 and larger have occurred within 250 km of today’s earthquake. In that time range, the April 5, 2024, earthquake is the largest.
