‘We Should’ve Done More’: Kamala Harris Slams Biden Admin Over Netanyahu Support and Praises Pro-Palestine Protesters

Former Vice President Kamala Harris told pro-Palestinian protestors she “appreciates” them before criticizing ex-President Joe Biden’s administration, saying they should have publicly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the war in Gaza.

Harris made the comment during a conversation with Angela Rye, one of the co-hosts of the Native Land podcast, while in Seattle on Nov. 4. The event — part of Harris’ ongoing book tour — was interrupted by protestors, which spurred the ex-VP to comment on Israel and Gaza.

“Look, we should’ve done more as an administration,” Harris said. “We should’ve done more.”

That comment led to applause from the audience.

“We should’ve spoken publicly about our criticism of the way that Netanyahu and his government were executing this war,” Harris continued.

More applause followed. She then added, “We had more levers, in terms of leverage, that we did not use” on Israel — apparently to get it to wrap up the war quicker.

Harris also gave kudos to the protestors and said, “I would not exist if it weren’t for people who were active in protesting injustice.”

The Jewish News Syndicate reported anti-Israel protestors “repeatedly” interrupted Harris during her Seattle event.

“JNS observed demonstrators both inside and outside the event. Some donned keffiyehs and waved Palestinian flags, chanting, ‘Kamala, you can’t hide, you profit from genocide,'” the outlet reported.

Video of the event was posted to Native Land’s YouTube account on Monday.

Her comments were made less than a month after President Donald Trump brokered a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.

The agreement ended Israel’s military operation in Gaza, which started soon after Hamas terrorists broke into Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, and killed about 1,200 people and took hundreds of hostages; 20 living hostages were freed last month as part of the peace deal.

Harris, during the event, said America is currently dealing with “moments of darkness” under the Trump Administration. She said she is “happy” a ceasefire deal was made, but she expressed skepticism it will hold, saying “we will see how long it lasts.”

“But let’s be very clear, that the inhuman nature of what has happened to the Palestinian people in Gaza, the innocent civilians, the extent of hunger, famine, suffering, death, is something that we must acknowledge,” Harris said right after. “And I recognize that.”

Her comments on Netanyahu and Israel come as Harris has made a number of other headlines while promoting 107 Days, her new book chronicling her doomed bid to win the 2024 election.

Some other highlights include: An Australian reporter accusing Harris of a “world class” dodge on a question about Biden’s cognitive decline; Harris saying she was perhaps the “most qualified” person to run for president in U.S. history; Harris blasting the Trump Administration while in Los Angeles, saying “These mothaf*ckas are crazy!”
