Stephen Moore: I Wouldn’t Return to CNN, You Don’t Go Back to Restaurant That Gave You ‘Salmonella’
Stephen Moore, who dropped out of the running for the Federal Reserve board, has made it clear he has no plans to return to CNN.
Moore spoke with Steve Malzberg on WMAL this past weekend, and the host brought up the media coverage during the weeks after Trump announced him as a pick.
Moore said with a laugh that it’s “flattering” liberals were “so terrified of my economic ideas” that there was so much negative coverage of him.
Before being picked by Trump, Moore was an analyst at CNN. He brought that up during the interview and said, “They basically begged me to come over from Fox and they begged me to sign a renewal for my contract… Then literally, Steve, the day after I was announced for the Fed, they turned their knives against me. They were vicious and vile.”
He also made a point of saying he has no intention of going back to CNN, saying, “You go to restaurant and you get salmonella, you don’t go back to that restaurant.”
Earlier this month CNN said in a statement that Moore “will not be returning as a contributor.”
