Biden Zings Trump For Bragging He Won Trophies From His Own Golf Club

President Joe Biden sarcastically zinged former President Donald Trump for bragging that he won two golf trophies from his own golf club —  and he did it on Trump’s old social media stomping ground.

Trump bragged on his Truth Social platform Sunday that he was about to accept a pair of prestigious awards from Trump International Golf Club Palm Beach:

It is my great honor to be at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach tonight, AWARDS NIGHT, to receive THE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY & THE SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY. I WON BOTH! A large and golfing talented membership, a GREAT and difficult course, made the play very exciting. The qualifying and match play was amazing. A large and distinguished group will be there tonight. Very exciting, thank you!!!

The post drew a blizzard of mockery from anti-Trump critics, many of whom implied that Trump had either cheated or been allowed to win. Trump has long been dogged by charges that he cheats at golf.

But there was one Trump critic who offered congratulations — of a sort. On Sunday night, the Joe Biden Twitter account — not the official @POTUS account — posted a screenshot of Trump’s message with the caption “Congratulations, Donald. Quite the accomplishment.”

Biden’s shot comes on the heels of reports that Biden wants to go for Trump’s “jugular” on a more aggressive basis, and days after Biden and his campaign went after “Broke Don” for trying and failing to raise a $460 million fraud appeal bond, while also trailing Biden badly in the fundraising department.

Other members of the president’s campaign team also posted and reposted burns on Trump for the golf wins, including one stinger that read “Is the prize $454M?” that was reposted by Biden campaign spokesman T.J. Ducklo.
