‘Most Disingenuous Athlete of My Lifetime!’ Aaron Rodgers Gets Eviscerated By Fox Sports Pundit for Latest Anti-Vax Comments
Fox Sports commentator Nick Wright ripped Aaron Rodgers to shreds after the New York Jets quarterback’s latest comments regarding the Covid-19 vaccine.
During Rodgers’ weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, the 40-year-old called out members of the media for floating the conspiracy theory that he never tore his Achilles earlier this season. Rodgers — a vocal skeptic of the vaccine — then suggested that media members should be required to announce their vaccination status as he believes it would better contextualize their reporting.

The next day, Wright responded to the comments with a fiery rant of his own.
“Aaron thinks that he’s the relative on Thanksgiving that nobody wants to get caught in a corner with because ‘this guy tells you the hard truths,'” Wright said on First Things First, “when in reality, it’s because you’ve told me to read 48 Laws of Power and about the Illuminati every Thanksgiving for a decade and I’m tired of it.
“Let me be fair. I’m gonna do exactly what Aaron said because Aaron said before you comment on him, you should have to disclose your vaccination status. So, double-vaxxed, Pfizer, not boosted.”
Wright then argued that Aaron’s suggestion was pointless.
“Now, does that impact my opinion on Aaron Rodgers? No,” he continued. “You know why? Kirk Cousins is not vaxxed. Nobody says a mumbling word about him! I’m pretty sure Lamar Jackson’s not vaxxed. I’m not sure. The best I can tell is Lamar Jackson won’t even take DayQuil. My guy gets sick every year (and) he’s gonna win the MVP!
“The commentary is not about your vaccination status. It’s about you being the most disingenuous athlete of my lifetime. You were disingenuous about the vaccine. That was annoying… You were disingenuous about your retirement status. ‘Ninety percent retired.’ You were disingenuous about coming out of the dark room. ‘I’m gonna play for the Packers. That was my only goal.’ You were disingenuous about how well Verizon works in Southern California!”
Wright, like others in the media, also believes Rodgers teased a possible return from his injury this season as a publicity stunt. Doing so would have required a remarkably short recovery time as it’s usually a season-ending injury.
“So, this is not about anyone’s private medical decisions,” Wright said. “It’s about the biggest look-at-me Louie saying to his best buddy McAfee, ‘Why’s everyone looking at me?’ It’s so irritating!
“And everybody knows it. I think A.J. Hawk knows it. I think A.J. Hawk is watching this like, ‘This guy’s lost his mind.'”
