‘That Just Means You’re Wrong’: Charles Barkley Roasts CNN’s Kaitlan Collins’ March Madness Picks Before Giving Her Props for a ‘Pretty Good Bracket’

Charles Barkley didn’t shy away from letting CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins know exactly how he felt about her NCAA Tournament bracket.

Near the end of Thursday’s episode of The Source with Kaitlan Collins, Barkley joined the show to talk about her picks for the men’s basketball tournament. They immediately disagreed on how far Auburn — Barkley’s alma mater — would make it.

“Well, we’re gonna get to the Sweet 16,” Barkley told her. “We’re gonna play UConn. We’re gonna beat Yale. We’re always gonna beat the smart kids; and then we’re probably gonna beat San Diego State.”

“I have them losing to San Diego State,” Collins pointed out.

“Well, that just means you’re wrong,” Barkley fired back.

Barkley did give Collins credit for a “pretty good” job throughout most of her bracket — though he also disagreed with Creighton and Alabama making it as far as she predicted. Collins confessed that her decision to put Alabama in the Elite 8 was primarily bias for her alma mater.

While the talk was still on Alabama, Barkley thanked Coach Nick Saban for retiring and effectively giving Auburn a chance in the SEC again.

“Thank you, Coach Saban,” Barkley said while Collins laughed. “Thank you for retiring. You’re the greatest coach ever. Thank you for retiring. You should’ve came to the party we had down at Auburn.”
