Jury Reaches Verdict in Trump Trial

The jury in former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial in New York has found him guilty on all 34 felony counts he faced.

Trump was on trial for falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments to cover up extramarital affairs he had before the 2016 election. Prosecutors said Trump arranged the payments to prevent word of the affairs from damaging his presidential campaign.

Trump pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied the affairs.

The verdict was reached after nearly 12 hours of deliberation
