Trump To Skip ‘Boring’ White House Correspondents’ Dinner and Hold MAGA Rally Instead: Dinner ‘Too Negative’
For the third straight year, President Donald Trump says he will skip the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
In a pool spray outside the White House Friday ahead of his trip to the U.S.-Mexico border, the President announced plans to hold a MAGA rally instead of the event, as he considers the dinner to be “too negative.”
“I’m going to hold a rally,” Trump said. “Yeah, because the dinner is so boring and so negative that we’re going to hold a very positive rally.”
Trump said that the location for the rally is still up in the air.
“We haven’t determined,” he said. “We have about three sites. Everybody wants it. It’ll be a big one. But the correspondents’ dinner is too negative. I like positive things.”
