Trump Wildly Claims He’ll ‘Go to the Middle East’ with Liz Cheney to Prove ‘She Doesn’t Have the Guts to Fight’

Former President Donald Trump continued his broadsides against former Rep. Liz Cheney on Friday, and wildly claimed he’d travel with her to the Middle East to “fight.”

Trump ignited a media firestorm on Thursday night when he suggested sending Cheney into battle.

“She’s a radical war hawk,” he said of her hawkish foreign policy views. “Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, ok? Let’s see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

Vice President Kamala Harris called the remark “disqualifying.”

Trump re-upped his criticism of Cheney at a rally in Warren, Michigan on Friday.

“All she wanted to do was go to war with everybody,” the former president said. “Because she, like Kamala, is a stupid person. It’s easy for her to say she wants to start wars from the comfort of her nice home or her father’s lavish home that he got from killing a big portion of the Middle East.”

Trump was referring to former Vice President Dick Cheney, who, before taking that position, was CEO and chairman of Halliburton, a defense contractor. In office, Cheney was a leading proponent of the invasion of Iraq in 2003.

“Liz Cheney wouldn’t fight,” Trump continued “I’ll go with her. I’ll go to the Middle East. I’ll go wherever she wants, and we’ll fight. She doesn’t have the guts to fight. She’s all talk and no action.”

The ex-president then mocked Cheney for losing her seat after she lost the 2022 Republican primary for Wyoming’s at-large congressional district. Cheney has drawn the ire of Trump thanks to her criticisms regarding his attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election, which he lost.
