4 Former WH Press Secretaries Ambush Earnest with Tough Questions

When White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest appeared on Bloomberg Politics’ With All Due Respect Tuesday afternoon, hosts Mark Halperin and John Heilemann decided to call in some reinforcements for the interview.
One by one, the callers, who were only identified by their first names and locations, asked Earnest various hard-hitting questions about what it’s like to be the president’s press secretary. Of course, as Earnest quickly realized — or, more likely, was told in advance — they had all held his job at some point over the last couple of administrations.
Earnest fielded calls from Dee Dee Meyers, Joe Lockhart and Jake Siewert from the Clinton Administration and Ari Fleischer from President George W. Bush’s team, along with a bonus round from former Clinton staffer and current ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos.
The only thing missing was a call from President Jed Bartlet’s right-hand woman C.J. Cregg.
