Biden Trashes Trump’s ‘Embarrassing’ NYC Rally, Says The Event Was ‘Beneath Any President’

President Joe Biden trashed former President Donald Trump’s Sunday night campaign rally in New York City’s Madison Square Garden as “embarrassing” and “beneath any president” when he was asked about it Monday.

Biden voted early in his home state of Delaware on Monday morning before he traveled back to Washington in the afternoon. Before leaving Wilmington, the president was asked about the MAGA rally – which put the spotlight on numerous Trump world figures and a very divisive joke about Puerto Rico from roast comedian Tony Hinchcliffe.

Trump also delivered lengthy remarks in which he again vowed to deport millions of migrants if he is elected to a second term and free the country of what he called an “occupation” of illegals.

Monday, a reporter asked Biden, “Can you come here and comment on former President Trump’s rally yesterday? He was saying a bunch of stuff about immigrants.” Biden replied:

It’s embarrassing. It’s simply embarrassing. It’s beneath any president, but that’s what we’ve gotten used to. That’s why this election is so important. You know, most of the presidential scholars I’ve spoken talk about the single most consequential thing about a president is character. Character. And he puts that in question every time he opens his mouth.

In his remarks, Trump vowed to “rescue” communities he said had been “invaded and conquered” by foreign nationals. At one point during the speech, he addressed House Speaker Mike Johnson and said:

The United States is now an occupied country, but it will soon be an occupied country no longer. Not gonna be happening? Not gonna be happening. November 5th, 2024, nine days from now, will be Liberation Day in America. It’s going to be Liberation Day.

On day one, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history. Gotta get the criminals out. I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in jail, then kick them the hell out of our country as fast as possible. And to expedite removals of Tren de Aragua and other savage gangs like MS-13, which is equally vicious, I will invoke the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.
