Chaka Khan Has No Idea How ‘It’s Raining Men’ Goes, but Kills It Anyway
Last night, Chaka Khan showed up on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote her upcoming album, and as a tribute to Paul Shaffer, she decided to sing one his hit songs, “It’s Raining Men.” Or, as Khan put it while repeatedly glancing at the floor prompter, “mumblemumblemumble“.
Granted, there are many lyrics to the song “It’s Raining Men,” but it’s okay if you don’t remember all of them except for the part that goes “It’s raining men / Hallelujah / It’s raining men / Amen.” Khan seems to struggle with that part too.
Thank goodness she has charisma! And that voice — oh, that voice.
