NRA Spox Dana Loesch on Calls to Repeal 2nd Amendment: We Finally See Honesty From the Anti-Gun Left
NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch appeared on Fox & Friends today in order to chew out former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, and all of the recent anti-gun demonstrators who think the Second Amendment ought to be repealed.
Stevens recently made waves with his anti-gun op-ed in The New York Times. Loesch accused the former Supreme Court justice of restricting speech because “law-abiding Americans are too good” at defending their gun rights. She said it was “odd” to see a second amendment repeal call come from someone like Stevens. And in her view, the editorial “seemed to really kind of undermine any defense that he would ever have in standing up for free speech.”
Pete Hegseth said the piece exposes how many on the left want a total repeal of gun rights — which goes against those who claim they just want to see reasonable and responsible legislation. Loesch agreed, saying protesters only avoided saying it out loud before because it’s not — or, it hadn’t been — a politically tenable position.
“For the first time, we’re finally seeing anti-gun advocates by honest about where they are on this issue. Whenever they sit here and they talk about the ar-15, we know that’s a stand-in for all semi-conductor automatic firearms…We see this over and over. We’re always told ‘we don’t want to take your guns,’ but that is what you’re writing.”
Loesch went on to say that anti-gun marchers are welcome to their free speech, but she continued to criticize them for not being like pro-gun Parkland survivor Kyle Kashuv and meeting with politicians to discuss school safety solutions.
