‘Do NOT Say That on Television!’ Tense Fox News Debate on Israel and Biden Goes Completely Off the Rails

A panel hosted by Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner on Friday morning went totally off the rails during a debate about President Joe Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas War.

Former Obama administration spokesperson Marie Harf and former Oklahoma State House Speaker T.W. Shannon went head-to-head as Shannon argued there is a “civil war within the Democrat Party” between “the pro-Hamas caucus” and “failed president” Biden.

In response, Harf defended Biden for being a “strong friend to Israel” and noted there was a difference between Palestinians and Hamas.

The conversation started to get heated when Harf brought up Trump, noting the upcoming election will likely be a choice between the former president and Biden. Faulkner cut her off, dismissing her words as “predictable.”

FAULKER: I knew you’d go there. That’s predictable. I want to get something new in the conversation.

HARF: No, no, Harris, let me finish. Let me finish, please!

FAULKNER: You said I know he did not do this, meaning punish Israel in any way with sanctions… I know he didn’t do this for political reasons.

HARF: He’s not punishing Israel. He’s not.

FAULKNER: How do you know? Did you talk to him?

HARF: Well, I haven’t talked to him about this. But look, the problem of West Bank settler violence is horrifying. And Israelis across the political spectrum agree with that. This is an election season. This is a question about elections. And when Joe Biden is up against Donald Trump, who hugs Prime Minister Netanyahu closer than anyone else who says horrifically racist things about Palestinians, that is the decision here.

Shannon then interjected, accusing Harf of being “intellectually disingenuous about what is happening around the globe.”

“You’re either for Israel or you’re for Hamas,” Shannon said, before claiming Democratic lawmakers, such as Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), “stand with Hamas.”

“That is offensive to say,” Harf said. As Shannon continued, Harf eventually shot back: “You have no idea what you’re talking about right now.”

Faulkner cut her off. “I am going to step in here because that’s akin to name-calling, and I can’t tolerate it. I really can’t,” Faulker warned.

“He just said that my party supports terrorists!” Harf protested.

Williams repeated his allegation that Harf is “intellectually disingenuous” and said, “You’re either with Israel or you’re with Hamas.”

The conversation became tense again when Harf said the Biden administration was supporting Israel and trying to get the Israeli hostages home while pushing to protect innocent Palestinian lives, prompting Faulkner to once again cut her off. “Everybody wants the hostages home,” she said.

“My colleague on this panel is telling me I support terrorists, you can’t do that,” Harf said.

Faulkner gave Shannon the last word, and he proceeded to accuse Harf of defending Hamas:

SHANNON:  Look, listen, this is a clear battle between good and evil, Harris. And while your panelist has the choice to be very eloquent in her defense of Hamas. The truth is, you either stand with Israel or you stand with Hamas.

HARF: Excuse me. Excuse me. I was not defending Hamas. Do not say that on television. No. No!

SHANNON: The radicals in the Democratic Party have made it clear there is a war against Israel. There’s a war in Israel that’s happening. And there’s a war in America by the Democrats against Israel. That’s a fact you can’t change.

HARF: Do not say I was defending Hamas. That is offensive and wrong. Do not say that.

SHANNON: There’s only a war between Israel and Hamas. There’s no one else fighting a war. Whose side are you on? Hamas or Israel?
