Fox & Friends Whines Trump’s ‘Poisoning The Blood’ Remarks Will Distract from Senate Porn Scandal: ‘It’s Going to Take Over Everything’
Will Cain led Fox & Friends in complaining that the media coverage on Donald Trump’s vitriolic attacks on immigrants is going to overshadow the recent scandal involving a gay porn video that was filmed in a Senate hearing room.
“This is a big story,” Cain explained while recapping the news that the Daily Caller obtained a leaked video of two naked men having sex in Hart 216, a committee hearing room used by the U.S. Senate. After that, Cain pivoted to the New Hampshire campaign rally Trump held on Saturday where he railed that immigrants from Latin America, Africa and Asia are “poisoning the blood of our country.”
Trump’s comments mark his latest dehumanization of immigrants, and they’ve been condemned by his critics as racist, xenophobic, and comparable to rhetoric used by white supremacists. Fox News hosts have complained before about how many times Trump’s words have been compared to Adolf Hitler, and Cain spoke with Shannon Bream about how he anticipated this is going to dominate the conversation again.
The mainstream media is going to talk about this. They already are. It’s going to take over everything. ‘Poisoning the blood of our country’ when talking about illegal immigration.
In fact, the Biden-Harris administration has already jumped all over it. They said the following ‘Tonight, Donald Trump channeled his role models as he parroted Adolf Hitler, praise Kim Jong un and quoted Vladimir Putin while running for president on a promise to rule as a dictator and threaten American democracy. He is betting he can win this election by scaring and dividing the country. He’s wrong.’
The reason I bring up those two stories to you, Shannon, is I thought and I think it should be a big deal that we’re talking about what happened in the Senate hearing chamber. And I think what we’re going to do, I think what’s going to happen here, Shannon, for the next couple of days is we’re going to latch on to three words that Donald Trump said, and it’s going to drive the news cycle.
Bream followed up on this by calling Trump “a very smart guy” who knows this kind of rhetoric is going to gin up controversy and attention. When she brought up the Senate sex tape, Cain got back in and said “The reason I put those two stories at the same time is because one: every time, we’ve done this over and over. Donald Trump uses words, and those words forced this gigantic conversation about what means underneath the words and the future of our country. And then on the other hand, we’ve got legit actions! And I get it, it’s a Senate aide. But it’s things that actually happened! You can see it on video in the Senate hearing room!”
As Bream explained that one of the Senate aides involved in the tape has been fired, Rachel Campos-Duffy took it from there by complaining about the “two tiered justice system” and comparing the video to January 6th.
The Democrat senator of this staffer was somebody who took to the House floor and talked about how sacred this place was right after January 6th. And then when asked about this, yes, he fired his staffer, but no words about the sacredness of the Capitol after this man did pornographic acts inside of the chamber.
