Fox Host Stunned Comer Didn’t Ask Hunter Biden a ‘Single Question’ After Finally Getting Him Under Oath: ‘How Weird Is That?’
Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy voiced his amazement Friday at the fact that House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) did not ask Hunter Biden a “single question” during an under-oath deposition that Comer had sought for many months.
The conversation began with a report from Madeleine Rivera on Hunter Biden’s deposition the day before.
“Hey, good morning, Ainsley, Steve and Brian. The transcript of this closed-door deposition, revealing several testy moments between the first son and House Republicans,” Rivera began, adding:
Hunter stressed that his father, President Biden, was not involved in his business dealings. What he does admit to is putting his father on speakerphone with his associates and inviting him to drop by on business lunches. Hunter pointed to personal tragedies like the deaths of his mother and two siblings as the reason why he always takes his family’s call, saying, I’m surprised my dad hasn’t called me right now, and if he did, I would put him on speakerphone to say hi to you and to Congressman Raskin and everybody else in the room. It is nothing nefarious, literally.
After some further reporting, Rivera wrapped by noting, “House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer says the next step is a public hearing. Hunter’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, says his client’s transcript means there was nothing left to ask, answer, say or do. Steve, Ainsley and Brian.”
“Another standoff,” replied Doocy,” adding:
Madeleine, thank you very much. So now Republicans want to see him now. Republicans want to see him in front of everybody. You know the odd thing, speaking of Republicans, you know, James Comer, who ran that committee, he apparently left the hearing early and did not ask a single question. How weird is that?
“It’s very strange,” agreed Ainsley Earhardt.
“He’s been calling for him to come in. Hey, we want Hunter Biden. He didn’t ask him a single question,” Doocy added.
Earnhardt then pivoted to the next segment, “Well, Brian’s going to ask questions to Mark Levin, and he will answer them. That’s coming up on the show.”
