Fox News’ Outnumbered Lambastes Trump Over Putin Presser: ‘Not the Patriot He Should Have Been’

Even though some pro-Trump hosts are finding ways to defend it, a lot of people on Fox News agree that yesterday was a bad day for President Trump. And the hosts of Outnumbered today piled on.

Josh Holmes, former chief of staff to Senator Mitch McConnell, said Trump was conflating collusion and Russian meddling, arguing that his comments only give his critics fodder and undermines his presidency.

Lisa Boothe argued that Trump is conflating because the media is doing the same, but she acknowledged, “When you’re on the world stage next to Putin… that is not the time for ambiguity.”

She said Trump should’ve been more definitive and less ambiguous and “all over the place.”

Dagen McDowell, meanwhile, wanted to see some presidential “intimidation” of Putin instead of them “tossing around a soccer ball.”

And Trish Regan, who was incredibly tough on Trump yesterday, said to think about it in terms of family squabble versus “an enemy of your family.” No matter what your internal arguments, you team up to fight the enemy.

“I’m disappointed,” she added, “he was not the patriot he should have been yesterday.”
