Anyone who follows Fox News’ Bret Baier on Twitter knows that he likes to engage with the people who tweet at him––including lots of people with not-so-positive things to say. Here’s a taste:
What arrogance? I am responding to tweets in 140 characters or less. Thank you for watching too https://t.co/CtyfaIQMgy

I am not "pushing" anything. I am covering the race. From all sides. Thanks for watching! https://t.co/xKV60SZZyo

We did. Sorry you missed it. https://t.co/fhabXJmeoV

Baier’s tweeting was actually the subject of a Washington Post profile today, in which he explains why he does it:
I think people like the interaction. I think it’s the future of our business — to be more interactive. And I think people are a little bit, I don’t know, surprised when they get a response — and that I’m actually doing it myself. I kind of enjoy doing it. I especially enjoy when there’s somebody that has a real problem, and I thank them for watching and say, “Here’s what we meant to do in a fair way.” And then they come back and say, “Wow, I didn’t know you were gonna respond. You’re right.”
And so, to end Special Report today, he decided to have some fun by sharing some of the mean tweets he’s gotten recently?
The big takeaway? People can’t seem to make their minds up as to whether he’s a pro-Donald Trump hack or just another horrible anti-Trump stooge. (It’s almost like people don’t like it when news anchors dare to say anything that doesn’t comport with their worldview…)
And there seems to be a bunch of people out there who have a fascination with his hair.
