‘I’m Not Quite Sure Why’: Fox News Anchor Questions Why Kamala Harris Would Respond to John Kelly’s Bombshell Comments
Fox News anchor John Roberts asked his guest, former Trump official Kash Patel, why Vice President Kamala Harris would react to Gen. John Kelly’s bombshell comments in The Atlantic.
Kelly officially went on record Tuesday as confirming that while serving as then-President Trump’s chief of staff, Trump asked him why he couldn’t be more like “German generals,” later clarifying he specifically meant “Hitler’s generals.”
Harris gave a speech on Wednesday addressing Kelly’s comments, which have also included revealing that Trump said Hitler “did some good things.”
After replaying Harris’s full speech, Roberts asked Patel why the Democratic nominee even sought fit to respond to the former four-star Marine Corps general, who also served as Trump’s secretary of homeland security.
“So Kash. I’m not quite sure why a presidential candidate comes out to react to a story in the way that she did, particularly a story that, even if it were true, is at least four years old, if not older than that, because John Kelly was gone as chief of staff, not too far into the administration,” Roberts said, adding:
And why would it come out now? Just 13 days until Election Day?
Kelly has yet to give a public on-camera interview and has spoken in the past to CNN’s Jim Sciutto about his reluctance to speak out.
