Jeanine Pirro Admits She Spread False Claim About Nancy Pelosi During Trump Interview

Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro admitted that she spread a false claim about Rep. Nancy Pelosi on her Saturday show.

During her interview with President Donald Trump, Pirro suggested Pelosi was partying in Puerto Rico this weekend.
Here is what she said:

“Look, you were in the White House during the Christmas holidays and over New Year’s, and you’ve been there ever since. Nancy Pelosi’s in Hawaii over the holidays, now she’s in Puerto Rico with a bunch of Democrats and lobbyists, you know, enjoying the sun and partying down there.”

The thing is, Pelosi was not in Puerto Rico according to Pelosi’s office.

“During my exclusive interview with Pres Trump I said Speaker Pelosi was in Puerto Rico with a bunch of her Democrat colleagues. I based that on numerous reports that turned out to be wrong,” Pirro wrote on Twitter, not specifying where those numerous reports came from. “The Speaker’s office says she has been in DC all weekend and I take them at their word.”

The Fox News host was likely referring to reports — including this one in the Washington Examiner — that some Dems are in Puerto Rico over this weekend to see the Broadway show Hamilton. The Examiner’s report does not say Pelosi was there.

Twitter, as usual, had some thoughts about Pelosi’s non-apology.
