Jesse Watters’ ‘Brutal’ Thanksgiving Show Savaged by Viewers: ‘You Want Some Cheese With That Whine?’
Fox News host Jesse Watters’ post-Thanksgiving show was savaged by viewers on Monday, who accused Watters of whining and of talking too much.
In his first Jesse Watters Primetime show since Thanksgiving, Watters spent much of the hour ranting about his own family Thanksgiving celebrations.
Chyron highlights included, “Stop Adding New Rules to Monopoly!” “Thanksgiving Rocked By Wine Scandal,” “Almost Had to Turn Off the Eagles Game,” “Double Stroller Walks Are Intense,” “Dessert Menus Are Too Complicated,” “I’m Not a Cigar Guy!” and “Romo Talks Too Much.”
Watters also recounted the story of how he was mauled by a dog and nipped in the groin a mere two weeks after he revealed on-air that he had got “rid of” his own pet dog because “it didn’t work out.”
During the “Text Jesse” segment at the end of his show, viewers gave their feedback to Watters’ Thanksgiving rants.
One viewer from Augusta, Georgia observed, “You complained about Thanksgiving for 20 minutes, then said Romo talked too much?” to which Watters responded, “I don’t think I was complaining. I think I was making observations.”
Another viewer named Tom from Northern California wrote in, “You want some cheese with that whine?”
Watters shot back, “Hey Tom, be a man and put the name of your town. Northern California? What, are you afraid I’m gonna come find you?”
Other viewers reacted, “Brutal. I’d rather hear about Biden’s Thanksgiving,” and “Is the dog ok?”
However, Watters did receive some supportive messages too.
“This is the best show you have ever done,” wrote one viewer, though it’s possible they were being sarcastic.
