Kellyanne Conway Urges Trump to Pick ‘Person Of Color As VP’ While Predicting ‘Monster Gains Among Hispanics’
Fox News contributor Kellyanne Conway urged former President Donald Trump to pick a person of color as his running mate while predicting he will make “monster gains” in support among Hispanic voters in November.
During Outnumbered on Wednesday, the Fox panel criticized President Joe Biden for his efforts to court Hispanics, accusing him of pandering. They cited a New York Times-Siena College poll from February showing Trump leading Biden by six points with Latino voters.
Biden beat Trump in the Latino vote nationwide during the 2020 election, but the Republican nominee came close to winning majority support in key states such as Florida.
Conway claimed the surge of migrants across the southern border and Covid-19 lockdown measures will help push more Hispanics votes to Trump in 2024. The former Trump White House official then urged her one-time boss to pick a person of color as his running mate.
Look, every way you look at it, Hispanics have so many reasons to dump Biden. Harris. The main one is the border. How cynical of an entire Democratic Party to believe that in the nine years since Donald Trump elevated into international consciousness his view on illegal immigration. Build the wall. Be fair to the people here, America first.
Nine years later, the Democrats still think that attacking Donald Trump on the border is going to get them Hispanic vote. Hispanics are also upset that they are hostile to religion, that they masked up their kids and kept them home for the better part of two school years. The economic upward mobility that is being lost to them. So I think that Donald Trump’s going to have a monster gains among Hispanics, and I think it’s part of why he should pick a person of color as his VP.
